The VideoSecu PJ2B is an affordable projector mount packed to the brim with all of the features we like to see. It has an impressive extension arm, weight capacity and is easy to install.
We were very impressed with the VideoSecu PJ2B’s extension capabilities. The telescoping pole can extend from 16.9 to 25.6 inches from the ceiling simply by adding the appropriate piece. If you prefer the mount to sit flush to the ceiling, don’t add the extension pole. You can also adjust the projector’s position from every angle. You can rotate it around the mount’s base 90 degrees, tilt it 20 degrees or roll it 15 degrees side to side. Once perfectly in place, VideoSecu’s “no-slip adjustment system” will make sure none of your settings slip out of alignment. The mount’s weight capacity is a whopping 44 pounds, and its steel carriage is well designed to securely support your projector.
The term “universal mount” is synonymous with “making it work.” Because the mount has so many different mounting patterns, you have to figure out which one works best for your specific projector. You’ll receive all of the necessary hardware in the box and a user manual. From there it is up to you to match the compatible holes with your projector’s mounting pattern. The maximum distance corner to corner shouldn’t be more than 12.5 inches. If it is, you can still use the PJ2B to mount your projector, you will just need to purchase an extender. Current users have had no problem installing their projector mount, so we know you’ll have the same success.
The long extension neck that comes with the VideoSecu PJ2B is the perfect place to thread the unsightly cables that must attach to your projector. However, when the extension neck isn’t connected, there won’t be an inconspicuous place to thread the cords. With or without the neck, you will be able to utilize the quick release feature. The release easily lets down the projector for any maintenance, e.g., replacing a light bulb, cleaning or repair. When maintenance is complete, it is just as simple to connect the projector up to the mount. If you're using the projector in a public place, a lock feature is also located near the quick release. You must provide the lock, but it is a handy way to prevent theft. VideoSecu designed the PJ2B to mount to flat ceilings, but it can also compensate for slopped ceilings.
A 30-day warranty is included with the VideoSecu PJ2B. This warranty covers any manufacturer defects out of the box with a full refund, but that is about it. It won’t cover any damage sustained by the projector if installed incorrectly; it simply protects you from buying a faulty product.

The VideoSecu PJ2B projector mount is a fantastic solution to making your dream entertainment room come true. It can accommodate high, vaulted ceilings with its extension arm or sit flush in a standard room. It has a key and lock system, quick release and built-in cord management. The only downside is the inadequate warranty – 30 days isn’t enough.
